UC International College (UCIC) offers University Transfer Programmes (UTP’s) that are equivalent to the first year of a University of Canterbury’s (UC) bachelor degree. Successful completion of the program leads to the second year of UC bachelors and students can choose from a variety of specializations. Students can choose to pursue a UTP in Commerce, Engineering or Science. Foundation Studies students at UCIC develop their English language skills and gain introductory knowledge about subjects related to their chosen academic field. Obtaining the UCIC Foundation Studies Certificate leads to the first year of the UC bachelor's degree.
UCIC students have access to a variety of on-campus and off-campus accommodation options to suit their lifestyle and budget. Students also have access to a range of support services and campus facilities including confidential counselling services to deal with personal or academic challenges and The Health Centre for medical assistance.

Undergraduate Pathway: The core courses in the University transfer Programme in Commerce include Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Management, and Statistics. The programme also offers the students option to include additional optional courses such as Financial Accounting, Macroeconomics, Management Science, Marketing and Maths. On completion of the pathway programme, students can choose to major in Accounting, Business Economics, Economics, Finance, International Business, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain Management and Strategy and Entrepreneurship.

Undergraduate Pathway: The core courses in the University transfer Programme in Engineering include Foundations of Engineering, Engineering Physics(Mechanics, Waves and Thermal Physics), Engineering Mathematics, Mathematical Modelling and Computation. The programme also offers the students option to include additional optional courses such as Chemistry, Engineering Mechanics and Materials and Computer Programming. On completion of the pathway programme, students can choose to major in Chemical and Process Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Forest Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineerings and Natural Resources Engineering.

UC International First Year Scholarship is offered to high-achieving international students commencing in a bachelor's degree programme at UC. The UC College of Engineering International Scholarship is for high achieving international students who aspire to obtain a bachelor's degree in Engineering from UC in Christchurch, New Zealand. UC shares a partnership with Navitas; Navitas Colleges award two students with the most outstanding results across all programs with The Navitas Academic Merit Scholarship each semester. And, the Navitas family bursary is awarded in situations where two or more students from the same family are enrolled in a Navitas college.
