Established in 1837, Marshall University is among West Virginia's first public higher education institutions and continues to inspire extraordinary futures today through over 100 bachelor's and master's degree programs in a variety of concentrations such as business, education, arts and media, health professions, information technology and engineering, liberal arts, science, medicine, and pharmacy offered across 13 schools and colleges. Marshall University's enrollment numbers up to over 13,000, 4% of which are international students from over 50 countries worldwide. In light of this, the university's Multicultural Affairs Division and Center for International Programs exist in order to address the needs of international students in integrating with the community, as well as to raise awareness and acceptance of the university's cultural diversity. The campus is also home to 10 on-campus housing options that can accommodate up to over 2,500 residents, making it easier for students to get acquainted with people from all walks of life.
Marshall University requires international students to take the SAT, TOEFL, and earn a 3.0-4.0 GPA before being admitted to its degree programs. If you are a student who does not meet these criteria, apply to an INTO MU Pathway program that will prepare you for academic life in the US and boost your English proficiency while earning university credit hours toward your degree program at Marshall University.

Great Place For A Great Education
As a 2 time childhood cancer survivor, I had many learning difficulties along the education pathway. I had to work very hard on everything. The university provided more than I could ask for. I had short term memory issues, reading comprehension math difficulties and focus issues that were all side effects from my cancer treatments, but thanks to Marshall and the HELP program it gave me the structure and accommodations I needed to succeed. I got both my Masters and Bachelors in Counseling from there and my parents were also alumni from the University.
A Marshall MBA has helped him to be successful in my own business which is now 25-years-old.
1977-1979, Masters Level Business and Chemical Engineering Study
