Mander Portman Woodward was founded in the year 1973 by three Cambridge University graduates - Robert Woodward, Rodney Portman and Nicholas Mander - with the purpose of delivering Cambridge-style tutorial teaching to school age students.
Today, Mander Portman Woodward(MPW) is one of the best known and well respected independent college in the UK with a wide network of school campuses across multiple locations including Cambridge, Birmingham and London. MPW teaches 1,100 students on roll each year, of which approximately two thirds are British, one third international. MPW offers A-levels and GCSE curriculum courses and foundation programmes to international students with transfer options to the top UK undergraduate schools.
