School Description

Founded in 1860, Louisiana State University is the flagship institution of the LSU system that today is composed of 10 schools and colleges through which it offers 72 bachelor's and 70 master's degree programs in areas spanning agriculture, art and design, business, coast and environmental studies, engineering, human sciences and education, humanities and social sciences, mass communication, music and dramatic arts, science, veterinary medicine, and law. Louisiana State University's Baton Rouge campus is home to over 30,000 students, nearly 6,500 of whom are accommodated in the university's 24 on-campus housing options, keeping them just within a few steps away from various LSU amenities and facilities for academic, recreatio, fitness, and athletic purposes. 

Louisiana State University requires international students to submit proof of acceptable ACT or SAT scores, as well as to demonstrate their proficiency in the English language through an accredited English language test such as the IELTS or IB TOEFL. However, if you are a student who needs a little help in meeting these requirements, you can enroll in an International Accelerator Program to receive further academic preparation and English language training that will earn you credit hours towards a bachelor's degree program at the Louisiana State University.
