Greenville University (GU) offers a one-year non-credit learning program in English, which is aimed at preparing international students for university-level education. The pathway program is focused on the use of English, though not a TOEFL preparation program, GU offers international pathway students the opportunity to enroll and take the TOEFL test, free of charge, during the program.
With five major levels - beginning, low intermediate, intermediate, high intermediate, and advanced - equipping students with skills such as reading, writing, listening, and speaking are the major focus areas of the GU pathway programs. Students who complete the pathway program are admitted into the GU degree program of their choice. At GU, pathway students have unrestricted access to the facilities and services available on-campus including residence halls, library, academic and career counseling, student clubs, and fitness centers.
