University of Stirling was founded by Royal Charter in 1967. Part of the 330-acre campus is a loch, a golf course, and an 18th century castle known as Airthrey Castle, which is home to the University's School of Law. The castle has a rich history, with the first ever mention of the name Airthrey was in a charter of King David of Scotland in 1146. Through the centuries, the estate kept getting handed over and bought by one entity or another, until finally, the University of Stirling took over the castle two years after being founded in 1969.
The University of Stirling has almost 13,000 students with 20% of them being international students. The University of Stirling has a very diverse campus community with 114 different countries represented. The diverse community is not the only strong point of the university campus, as it was voted third in the UK for 'Good Environment on Campus' by the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey in 2016.

2004-2008, Bachelor’s Degree, Social Policy
You'll love it. Whether its a Master course or undergraduate you should choose this campus university. The class schedules are designed over 2 semesters not 3. so its easy to travel back home on holidays. The accommodation is a quick walk to class. A campus university makes like all the better. There is the bonus of arriving from China and immediately feeling the safety of campus life rather than negotiating your surroundings in the middle of a strange city center. The scenery is amazing. There is a lake in the middle as a centerpiece to a backdrop of The Wallace Monument. The clean fresh air is great. The student support for international students is 100% focused and determined to help any incoming students. I loved every minute attending this university.
2010-2014, Bachelor of Arts with Honours, Business and Marketing
Stirling University was home for 4 years and without a doubt it was the best experience of my life. From living on campus and enjoying the social life to getting constant help, guidance and support from all the lecturing staff, Stirling University is a place I cannot fault. The fact everything is on campus, including accommodation, the union, lecture theatres and gym, is a massive bonus. This helps in a number of respects; you get really close with all your class-mates, which makes group work and assessments a lot easier, whilst you learn to live independently away from your parents for the first time, your flat-mates quickly become your best friends. In an education respect, Stirling Uni taught me everything I wanted to know, from marketing campaigns to understand consumers, there is always something to keep you stimulated and I think the high attendances in lectures really portrayed that. Even more so, the flexibility of the Uni is something which is a great asset, I went to Uni to study sports studies, 4 years later I ended up with an Honours Degree in Marketing and Business Studies. Stirling University lets you change your degree and course to suit what you want to study. Bottom line is, Stirling Uni would be my first choice of Uni a hundred times over, great place, great people, great education.

Stirling is just an amzing place either to live and study! Extraordinary nature and perfect education system make the University of Stirling the best among others. I did my master during 2011-2012 at the Univeristy of Stirling, Stirling Management School in Marketing program. As an alumni of the University I was highly satisfied by the University and its education. And it is my pleasure to recommend my lovely Uiversity to everybody wishing to study in the UK. Stirling and its historical monuments make Stirling city unique and its heritage allows the city to be visited by the tourists. All in all, Univeristy of Stirling is only place to study and live!
