University of Nebraska-Lincoln - Master's Degree
University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) was established in 1869, under the Morrill Act as a land grant institution. Over the years the University gradually expanded, even opening a farm campus (a short distance from the city campus) in 1873. In 1902 the institute merged with Omaha city’s then-ailing Medical College and over the years more structures were added to the University.
Over the years the university saw tremendous development; its farm campus became East Campus, housing the colleges of Law and Dentistry, the Barkley Memorial Center for Hearing and Speech Disorders, the Division of Continuing Studies and the Nebraska Educational Television Network.
Today the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is listed as ‘Research Universities’ by the Carnegie Foundation – meaning it has very high research activity. The University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
