School Description

University of Glasgow was established by 1451 and since then the university has fostered the talents of seven Nobel Laureates, one Prime Minister and Scotland’s inaugural First Minister, even welcoming Albert Einstein to give a lecture on the origins of general theory of relativity. 

Scotland’s first female medical graduates completed their degrees at the University of Glasgow in 1894 and the world’s first ultrasound images of a fetus were published by a Glasgow Professor, Ian Donald.
