The day I started classes at UALR, I never imagined all I would learn and experience over the following 4 years. My days at UALR not only prepared me to face the world as an adult, it opened my eyes to diverse people, ideas, and questions I had never thought to ask before. The school was the perfect mix of solid academics, innovation, and community. In all my classes and activities, I felt a real connection with the professors and my fellow students in that we all seemed to be working toward not only bettering ourselves but to also lift up those around us. I'm proud and thankful to have been a part of this great University and hope it continues to serve the state, the country, and the continually shrinking world for centuries to come.

I cannot state the value of my educational experience at UALR. Located in the capital, it is a melting pot of students both national and international. The campus is AMAZING and there is active research going on within every department of each college - a sure sign of any university's health. The practical, problem-solving lessons that I learned there have served me well. My wife is also an alum and we are lifetime Alumni Association members. You gotta catch a baseball game now that Coach Curry is here, attend a soccer match at Coleman Field or root our basketball teams on at "The Jack" - Go Trojans!

UALR has a wealth of opportunity available for both residents and non-residents of Arkansas alike. With a diverse student body and faculty, it fosters a unique blend of cultures and backgrounds. As a life member of the UALR Alumni Association, I get a chance to continue supporting this great institution through a scholarship endowment that allows current and future students to obtain a high quality education. As an alumnus, I strongly encourage prospects to get UALR a look for their future.
