San Francisco State University - Master's Degree
San Francisco State University was founded in 1899 as San Francisco State Normal School. Over the years, the school witnessed expansion and growth. Having been initially established as a teacher training college with just women students, the institute began admitting men in 1904. In 1930, the institute changed from a two year to a four year program. After going through 5 name changes over the years, the college gained university status in 1972, and became known 2 years later as San Francisco State University.
San Francisco State University has a total enrollment of over 30,000 students, with international students making up 5.6% of the student body. Students at SF State have a choice of over 300 clubs and organizations that they can be involved in. SF State also hosts guest lecturers, have workshops and exhibits related to arts and culture throughout the year.
