School Description

Shoreline Community College was started in the year 1964 as a result of Dr. Ray W. Howard's initiative to increase higher education opportunities within Washington state area. Dr. Ray W. Howard worked as the superintendent for Shoreline Community College and retired in 1963 spending his last two years planning and opening the new Shoreline Community College with the district.

Shoreline Community College campus spans across 80 acres and is made up of 26 faculty buildings. These include an award-winning automotive training center, a visual arts building, computer centers, laboratories, a student center, a theater, a gymnasium, a child care center, a multimedia center, and the Ray W. Howard Library/Technology Center. Shoreline Community College offers over 100 technical, workforce and professional training degrees and certificate programmes. Shoreline Community College enrolls about 10,000 students annually and it's international students come from around 45 countries.
