School Description

Fox Valley Technical College was started in the year 1912 when the formation of city vocational schools began across six locations in the districts of Wisconsin namely: Appleton, Brillion, Kaukauna, Menasha, Neenah, and Oshkosh. The school was renamed to Fox Valley Technical Institute after the Wisconsin Legislature divided the state into sixteen districts. In 1987, the college (along with all of the state technical colleges) was renamed and it became known as Fox Valley Technical College.

Today, Fox Vallery Technical College is a member college of the largest higher education system in the state, the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS). Fox Valley Technical college provides occupational training, for specific professions, as well as technical, adult basic, and continuing education to over 50,000 students annually. Fox Valley Technical College offers over 200 programmes leading to associate degrees, diplomas and certificates and instruction related to 18 apprenticeship trades, in addition to providing services to business and industry. Fox Valley Technical College's four facilities comprise the FVTC Oshkosh campus, the Riverside campus, the S.J. Spanbauer Center, the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center and the FabTech Education Center.
