Columbia College - Diploma

Columbia College is a private two-year community college located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Columbia College offers first and second year university transfer courses, associate degrees in arts and science and university preparation foundation courses. Columbia College is a member of the Association of Registrars of Universities and Colleges of Canada and its curriculum meets EQA eligibility requirements as set by the British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education

School Description

Columbia College was founded in the year 1936 when the school first began offering high school completion programmes to regional students. In 1965, Columbia College added university transfer courses to its curriculum and by 1970 the school had introduced its first-ever English as Second Language course to meet the needs of the increasing number of international students.

Since 1997, Columbia College has been located in downtown Vancouver in a building which contains state-of-the-art classrooms and science laboratories and a Testing and Tutorial Centre and which also houses the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). The College is dedicated to making its university transfer programs among the best in the nation in order to provide its students with the greatest possible chance to successfully transfer to a university in Canada or the United States
