American River College - Diploma
The roots of the college date back to 1942 as Grant Union Junior College, which in 1945 became Grant Technical College. In 1965, the institute became a part of Los Rios Community College District and the name was changed to its present name, 'American River College'. The college grew in infrastructure throughout 1970s and 80s, The expansion did not stop after that and the college has grown into one of the largest community colleges in the state.
American Community College is a part of the California Community Colleges System and its campus occupies a 155 acre land on the old Cameron Ranch in northern Sacramento County. American Community College currently enrolls 35,000 full-time and part-time students in its wide range of associate degree programmes.
