Algonquin College with campuses in Perth, Pembroke and Ottawa offers 4 Bachelor Degree Programs in Applied Arts (Interior Design); Applied Business (e-Business Supply Chain Management); Hospitality and Tourism Management; and Building Science. As well as Collaborative Bachelor Degree Programs; three programs in Information Technology with Carleton University (Interactive Multimedia and Design, Network Technology, and Photonics and Laser Technology) and one program in Nursing with the University of Ottawa.

School Description

Algonquin College started out as Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology in 1967. The College was established when the two institutions – the Eastern Ontario Institute of Technology (established in 1957) and the Ontario Vocational Centre (established in 1965) merged. The College was named after the First Nations people who lived in the area.

Today the College has been in existence for more than 45 years and has established itself as a leader in post-secondary education. Algonquin College has three campuses Perth, Pembroke and Ottawa Campus with 20,000 full time students and nearly 43,000 registrations for continuing education. Over 1,300 students at Algonquin come from more than 100 countries.
