University of Manitoba - Bachelor's Degree

The University of Manitoba (U of M) is a coeducational, non-denominational public university located in the heart of Anishinabe and Metis traditional. What was Western Canada’s first university, is now home to over 30,000 students, including international students hailing from 115 respective countries. The university of Manitoba awards its students with both undergraduate and graduate level degrees with over a 100 program choices, including professional disciplines such as medicine, engineering and law.

School Description

University of Manitoba was founded in 1877, just seven years after the province of Manitoba and four years after the City of Winnipeg. The University consists of several research centres and institutes, launched a Technology Park and Smartpark Research in 1999, and a community of innovators and creators that forges integration between industry and university.

The University of Monitoba has a three main locations: the Bannatyne Campus, the Fort Garry Campus and the William Norie. Bannatyne Campus of the university is located west of the Health Sciences Centre between McDermot Ave and William Ave in Central Winnipeg. Fort Garry campus is located on the Red River in South Winnipeg while William Norrie is situated in the Selkirk Ave of Winnipeg.

Currently, the university is home to a student population of 30,000 students and has drastically continued to grow in diversity and culture with over 10 per cent residing from international destinations, allowing the university to truly be part of a global community. University of Manitoba also offers serveral recreation and sports clubs such as healthy living and fitness games, soccer, hockey, and golf.
