University of Maine Fort Kent - Bachelor's Degree
The University of Maine at Fort Kent was established in 1878 as a training school for teachers. It was initially known as the Madawaska Training School, and over the years it witnessed significant growth not just to the academic programs offered, but to the campus as well. It finally became the University of Maine at Fort Kent in 1970.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent has over 1,300 students enrolled. The university offers its students a unique learning experience. Students receive one on one support from the faculty and staff at UMFK. The student body is also made up of a large number of international students. In fact, UMFK has the highest percentage of international students among universities in New England.
