Learning how to learn (and keep learning)

The College of Engineering will prepare you to take on new challenges and innovate. You may not remember the equations off the top of your head, but you will learn how to learn, how to team with others, how to break down complex challenges, how to conceptualize and see the big picture. With my background in Mechanical Engineering from Illinois, I've been through the Air Force as an engineering officer and program manager, and now working in the oil & gas exploration and production industry as an engineer -- the fundamentals and foundation that I learned at the University of Illinois still apply.
