School Description

University of Hertfordshire was established in 1952 as the Hatfield Technical College. Built on 90-acres of personally donated land, it opened its doors to 1,500 students in December that year. It has gone through several name changes, acquisitions and mergers in order to adapt to its growing number of students and expansion of academic programs, until finally becoming the University of Hertfordshire in 1992.

Today, University of Hertfordshire's state-of-the-art College Land and de Havilland campuses accommodate up to 3,500 students in its residence halls and is complete with facilities to support not only their learning, but as well as social, arts, sports, spiritual, and health needs. It also houses the university's 10 schools, through which it offers over 400 undergraduate and postgraduate courses in areas of humanities, engineering & technology, business, creative arts, life & medical sciences, health & social work, computer science, law, education, physics, astronomy & mathematics.

            I must admit that the University of Hertfordshire has considerably contributed to my overall development and success. I would recommend this institution to anyone. The level of support, the course content and the lecturers were all excellent. I greatly enjoyed my course of study with UH so much that I am seriously considering the pursuit of either an MSc. or PhD. in the near future.
