Law school is the foundation of your career, STCL is the right choice. One of the many great things about this school is the access it provides to legal training, mentors, and connections (both inside the school, and in the local legal community) that opened doors to my legal career. The school is just a few blocks from the hub of the Houston legal community, the Harris County Courts complex, which dominates the north end of downtown, and has the best law library in the entire state. I am so thankful that South Texas supported my ambitions, and for the friends I have made there (and across the state) since graduating.

Learn as much from your classmates as you do from your professors. The faculty at STCL was first rate, with ongoing, real-life experience. I have frequently contacted various professors with specific questions in their particular specialty, and have always received current perspectives, an referrals to other professionals who may be able to provide additional help. When you combine that with the other typical STCL student, who comes from many varied backgrounds, and prior careers, the practical legal education can not be beat. I was fully prepared to provide valuable legal counsel to my clients upon graduation.
