Queen's University at Kingston - Bachelor's Degree
Queen`s University was established in 1841 by Royal Charter of Queen Victoria, making it one of Canada’s oldest degree-granting institutions. The institute started classes the following year in March, with 2 professors and 13 students. Over the years the University overcame the challenges of war and depression and expanded with faculties and departments in Medicine; Engineering and Applied Science; Mathematics; Physics; Biology; Psychology; Computing; Social Sciences; the Humanities; Education and more.
Today Queen’s enrolls over 22,000 students from more than 109 different countries; it has also established itself as a research-intensive university conducting research in the areas of computational science and engineering, globalization studies, mental health, basic and clinical biomedical sciences, healthy environments and sustainable energy systems, social issues such as surveillance, poverty and bullying.
