School Description
McGill University is the oldest university in Montreal, founded in 1821, from a generous bequest by James McGill, a prominent Scottish merchant. Over its 190 year history McGillians have been associated with world-changing discoveries. McGill alumni include world leaders, astronauts, Nobel Laureates, and trailblazers in the worlds of art, science, business and public service. The University counts twelve Nobel Prize-winners among its faculty and alumni – the most of any Canadian university – whose contributions include the technology behind digital cameras, the discovery of how the human body protects its genetic code, the theory of electron transfer, groundbreaking work on visual perception, hormones and particle interaction and the discovery of dendritic cells, with their immune signaling pathways that control and drive the immune response.
Today, McGill researchers continue to make great strides in a wide range of fields from green chemistry to nanotechnology, from the science of food to the secrets of genomics and proteomics. McGill’s student body is the most internationally diverse medical-doctoral university in the country; 24% of its students coming from more than 150 countries; its internship programs places students across the globe, and its alumni live in more than 180 countries worldwide.

Having attended this globally renown institute, McGill has afforded me a plethora of skills in which to design my own destiny. Being self-employed in an eCommerce market has taken me many places meeting many faces providing unlimited possibilities. A life filled with passion & purpose began with the solid foundation provided by generous professors of knowledge, time & compassion. McGill's environment taught me that anything was possible and to take chances when opportunity knocks. Gratitude, Pride & Principle quickly come to mind at the mention of McGill University!
