Kent State University - Bachelor's Degree
Kent State University was founded in the year 1910 as teacher training school called Kent Normal School, named after William Kent who donated his farm land to build the institution. Four years later, it produced its first batch of graduates consisting of 34 students. It was later granted the power to award degrees in arts and sciences in the year 1929 as Kent State College and finally the Kent State University in the year 1935 when Ohio Governor Martin Davey signed a bill that led to the addition of a school of business administration and graduate programs.
Today, Kent State University enrolls almost 30,000 students representing all 50 states and over 120 countries across the world. It offers over 300 graduate and undergraduate degrees in areas engineering, architecture, arts & sciences, business administration, communication, medicine, among many others. Its campus in Kent, Ohio is home to 25 residence halls where over 6,000 students live.
