            2009 -2013, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

They set me up for my career

I graduated in 2013 with a BSc in Computer science from DIT. In a time where Ireland has a shortage on jobs, my degree from DIT made me stand out and within weeks of graduating I started my first job. DIT graduates were in such high demand that I did not start in a graduate position, but in a full responsibility role. This dramatically boosted my career essentially skipping 2 or three years of climbing up the ladder. I was able to use my time at DIT as required experience due to the hands on learning approach the course took. It's less than one year since I graduated and I have moved to my second role, a high responsibility position at IBM. DIT has prepared me and in fact propelled me into the working world with unparalleled and invaluable experience. I whole heartedly recommend their computer science course, and the institute in general.

1995 -2001, BA in International Business and Languages

Gained valuable business expertise & now run my own business.

I successfully completed a BA in International Business and Languages in 2001, having completed a 3 year Diploma in Business and Languages (German and Russian) in 1998. The business knowledge and language skills I acquired during my Diploma helped me secure four promotions in Gateway EMEA and become the youngest Supervisor in the Continental Department of Gateway EMEA. I returned to complete my BA (Hons) degree in 2000 and found the lecturers to be very professional yet friendly and helpful. I went on to have a very successful business and then teaching career and now run my own business. During my time in DIT, Kevin Street I made many great friends (especially in Russian class) who I am still in touch with today. I also ran the Drama Society from 1996-1998 which gave me an opportunity to express myself creatively while teaching, writing, directing and producing plays. I now run my own business called Power Drama School.
