School Description

Douglas College was founded in 1970 with the aim to provide the most relevant undergraduate study experience in British Columbia. Douglas College strives to fill the gap between universities and colleges by combining the academic aspects of a university with the employability skills of a college. Today, Douglas enrolls more than 26,000 students annually, with around 1,050 international students. The College is one of British Columbia’s largest colleges and has two campuses in New Westminster and Coquitlam as well as a Training Centre in Surrey and satellite training centres throughout Lower Mainland.

Douglas provides its students with a range of quality academic programs and courses, which include undergraduate degrees, university courses and career-oriented programs. Continuing education courses are also offered for those who wish to upgrade their skills. Douglas has gained a reputation for providing quality education in the disciplines of Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Sports Science, Youth Justice, Therapeutic Recreation, Community Social Services, Criminology, Psychology, and Stagecraft.
