Have you been wondering what you can gain from an international education?
Hundreds of thousands of students around the world travel to new places to complete their higher studies and here are some of the reasons why…

Increase Your Educational and Professional Prospects

Advantage of INTO pathways 1

Many international students travel abroad for their higher studies so they can receive a better education than they could have at home. Studying abroad significantly improves your career opportunities – the knowledge, experience, and skills that you obtain are well-respected the world over. INTO supports international students by helping them gain a solid academic and social foundation before they begin the first year of university life abroad.

I wanted to study abroad so I can learn to be independent and have a better opportunity in finding a job back home. I'm working so hard to make my parents proud. I know how hard they worked so I can study abroad and fulfil my dreams.

Practice Your Independence

Studying abroad means living away from your family and friends and you may experience homesickness for the first time. But living abroad also means that you have a newfound independence and will learn to take care of yourself, improve study habits, make new friends, manage your own money and much more. Studying abroad prepares you for your future professional and personal life as an adult.

Living independently has been incredible. It is a unique opportunity to see lots of new things. London is a big city and there is always something to explore.

Broaden Your Horizons

Traveling and experiencing new cultures is one of the best parts of studying abroad. You can explore foreign places, meet people with backgrounds different than your own and broaden your perspectives of the world and your place in it. As you embark on becoming a global citizen, you will develop cross-cultural awareness and gain insights into the value of life experiences

It is really cool because I have learned a lot of different cultural aspects. It has really opened my eyes to the opportunities around me.

Expand your Network

When you study abroad as an international student, you meet new people from all around the world, expanding your networking circle. Your connections go global and some of them may even lead you to new professional and social opportunities in the future.

When you study abroad you gain a lot of exposure. I made a lot of my international friends when I began my studies at INTO. I think when you diversify your connections, it makes for a really special experience.

Develop Your Confidence

Advantage of INTO pathways 2

Being an international student means getting out of your comfort zone and challenging yourself to have new experiences. Stepping up to these challenges helps you gain confidence in yourself and your ability to live on your own, meet new people, communicate in a different language and adapt to unfamiliar situations.

We are challenged to solve problems and collaborate together. My teachers are really friendly and my classmates are supportive….Studying here has been really good for me. I’ve gained a lot of confidence and received moral support.

Improve Your Language and Writing Skills

Studying abroad will significantly improve your language skills. When you use a new language on a daily basis, you are given the opportunity to practice more and apply the language in real life. INTO programs also have many classes that support English language speaking, writing and presenting.

One of the best things from INTO CSU is the English for Academic Purposes class I took last semester… The class taught me how to write an academic article, how to format a whole article, what is the structure, what is the framework.
